Mr Rails is an abbreviation of the following Model Railway Realistic Accessories Including Loco Sounds Opened in 2006 with just one product the ATCMK1 with an initial run of 25 boards for G scale modellers, it was not long before the 00 gauge modellers were wanting this style of realism, it was this that fueled us to build the 00 auto steam chuffer called MISTY. THE STATEMENT BELOW HAS CHANGED SINCE I WROTE IT 3 YEARS AGO, WE NOW HAVE SMALL CONTRACTS WITH COMPANIES FROM AROUND THE GLOBE AND HAVE RECEIVED RECOGNITION FROM MODEL MAGAZINES AND RAILWAY FORUMS THE WORLD OVER, MY YOUNGEST SON SIMON NOW WORKS HERE AND DOES MUCH OF THE SOLDERING AND CIRCUIT BOARD WORK, MY WIFE ALSO IS BUSY PACKING THE DAILY DEMAND OF PARCELS AND I AM BUSY CREATING NEW IDEAS AND DESIGNS TO HELP BRING YOUR MODELLING EXPERIENCE TO LIFE HOWEVER BIG OR SMALL. We are a small family run electronics workshop business based in Cowes on the Isle Of Wight. We have been in the electronics business for over 26 years. I feel sure that you will agree over this period of time, electronics have come along way, and almost govern, if not rule, our lives today, with the computer being the biggest driving force in our modern lives today. I'm Colin, husband, and dad to two sons and I'm classed as the brains to this outfit having passed many diplomas in electronics over the years but got no where in English hence poor spelling and grammar. If i had to write all this on paper i doubt if anybody could read it . So what's all this got to do with model trains you may ask yourself. ? Well there are some places where electronics have spoilt some things and model railways is one of them . When DCC made its debut it was a great leap forward and simplified a few things, more than one train on the same track, independent control etc, but it lacked one vital point, REALISM. Train speed goes up in steps being Digital Controlled, sounds made by trains whether steam chuffer or horns are all synthesized and sound false. With my knowledge and experience the Company has embarked on adding realism back to the model railway in this digital age. We have successfully made an advance with realism and some of you are enjoying that now.
