The ADSMK2 is an auto diesel train sound board that has been designed to mimic diesel engines it is a non dcc circuit board and has the advantage of being able to be adjusted to sound like different engines with just one adjustment. you can make it sound from a whining supercharged diesel to a ruff old growler.

At present we only produce it in 3 types THE BASE BOARD VERSION & THE CASED VERSION the later being requested as a special order, AND THE CASED VERSION WITH HORN details below the base board version

The base board version as pictured above has been designed for a two fold purpose firstly as a stand alone unit that can be fitted in a G scale wagon it uses a battery save circuit so that when the loco is at least running at half speed the pick ups that sense the voltage on the track also run the unit and save battery power when slowing down it switches back over to battery power this allows a good idle sound even when stationary as you can see from the picture there are three adjusters there job is as follows the first one is to correct the ideal idle start ,the second allows you to adjust the whine and rattle and the third is the master volume.

The unit is powered be 8 AAA batteries supplied in a holder if you don’t have a g scale then the unit can be used as baseboard for smaller layout like 00 or n gauge

CASED VERSION AS IN N SCALE JOURNAL

The picture above shows the cased version of the ADSMK2 the same board is used but being that it is to run from a power supply the battery save circuit is not fitted the little adjusters are replaced with the control knobs and the speaker is fitted internally the only wires from the cased version are the two green wires these have to connected to the controller the same place where the wires go to the track pick-ups to enable the unit to sense the voltage to alter the speed in relation to voltage...

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE CASE MAY BE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT AS THIS WAS A PROTOTYPE AND IS CALLED CADMK1

THIS VERSION DOES NOT HAVE A HORN YOU CAN PURCHASE A SEPARATE UNIT FROM OUR HORN SECTION OR PICTURE TO FOLLOW OF A PROTOTYPE VERSION WITH A HORN THIS UNIT WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL PUSH BUTTON FOR THE HORN AND A VOLUME CONTROL TO ADJUST THE HORNS VOLUME IDEAL FOR GIVING ADDED REALISM MODEL CADMK2
